# Rainge brand guide, for agents You're making something for Rainge: a page, a post, a card, a mockup, a piece of merch. Follow these steps. Every file lives at a fixed address below. Know the idea - The range ball is the one thing every golfer shares, and the one thing golf ignores. - The idea: respect the range ball. Treat the most ignored object in golf as the most important one: humble objects, treated with care. - Tagline: "Make every bucket count." Use it freely. - Sign-off: "Respect the range ball." Use it with restraint: the last line of a story, a brief or a piece of merch. Never stack it under the tagline. - Retired, never use in any form: "Same ball. Different work." and "Earn your stripes". ## 2. Pick the mark The signature is the only wordmark. Use the files exactly as supplied. Size and space it - The unit is the ball. Keep **two ball-widths** of empty space on every side, measured from the file's edge. - Smallest on screen: signature 160 px wide, compact 80 px, the ball 16 px. - Smallest printed / stitched (set by the ball's stripes): signature 95 / 305 mm wide, compact 80 / 260 mm, the ball 5 / 16 mm across. - Rule of thumb for merch: the ball must be at least 16 mm across to stitch its stripes and 5 mm to print them. Below that, use the stitch cut: the signature with a plain ball (stitched from 135 mm wide, compact from 50 mm). If it would be smaller, choose a mark that fits; never thicken the stripes. ## 4. Color it Night is home. No yellow headlines, buttons, borders or backgrounds. - Status colors (good #30D158 / #1B6E30, watch #FF9F40 / #9A4500, work on #FF6165 / #C20013) and the video overlays (feel #5CE69E, amber #FFB833, drift #FF6166, ghost #78CDEB) belong to the product. Never use them for decoration. - No gradients, glows, outlines, bevels or textures on a mark. - No Pantone or thread codes are published. Match to the hex and ask for a physical sample. ## 5. Set the type - Headlines and numbers: **Barlow Semi Condensed** 700, sentence case, letter-spacing -0.012em, leading 0.9 to 1.0. Titles at 600. The golfer's own words in 500 italic. - Labels and tight numbers: **Barlow Condensed** 600 in capitals, tracked 0.14 to 0.16em; numbers at 700 or 800 with tabular figures. - Body, buttons and navigation: the system face (SF Pro on Apple devices). - Where a line is set large, its full stop is the ball: 0.2em across, 0.06em after the last letter, on the baseline. - Never set words in a script face; the signature is a drawing. Never fake a bold or an italic. - Both Barlow families are free under the SIL Open Font License (Google Fonts). ## 6. Write it Rainge sounds like the regular two bays down who has seen everything and still practices: honest, dry, generous, a little defiant toward gear culture. Never write RAINGE in capitals, in text or as a logo: the signature is the only wordmark. The App Store name is "Rainge Golf", only to point to the listing. - Never use the word "AI" in Rainge copy. Say "the coach". No robot, sparkle or chat-bubble cues. - It's a range companion, not a swing analyzer: say "range", not "course". - Never name golf teachers or tour players. - American spelling: practice, color, equalizer. - End on one thing to try, not a list. - Don't call Rainge a launch monitor, a swing analyzer or a replacement for a pro. Don't tell people what to buy. ## 7. Pick the pictures One morning, at one range: before dawn under the range ball machine's light, or at first light with dew on the turf. Striped range balls, a wire bucket at the tee line, a worn ball in the grass, real swings with their overlays. Dark grounds, real light, a light film grain. No course glamour, no clubhouse lifestyle, no gear heroes, no cartoons, robots or sparkles. ## 8. Merch - Wearable first: judge every mark on a cap front, a tee, a sticker and a 28 px avatar. - Flat vector, one color if need be, and it stitches on a cap. The yellow ball is the only accent on a garment. - Ideas: stripe editions (one, two, three), range-ball drops, "Property of the range" pieces. - Placements: cap front, the ball at 45 mm (or the compact stitch cut at 65 mm wide); towel, the turf signature at 320 mm on cream; ball marker, the ball edge to edge at 25 mm; sticker, the cream signature at 100 mm on turf; tee, the turf compact signature at 90 mm on the left chest. ## 9. Partners and co-branding - Short description: "Rainge is a range companion for iPhone. Make every bucket count." - Long description: "Rainge is a range companion for iPhone. Prop your phone behind you at the range and hit: Rainge checks your swing against sound fundamentals at the positions that matter, gives you one focus for your next few balls, and tells you after every set whether you're getting closer. Over time, it proves the change against your own swing. Rainge is named after the range ball, every golfer's first ball and the one golf ignores. Learn more at rainge.app." - Lockup: the signature (compact under 240 px), then one thin vertical rule as tall as the signature's R with two ball-widths either side, then the partner's mark, no taller than the R. Same plain ground, each mark in its own colors. In text: "Rainge × Partner". - Partners must not alter or combine the marks, imply an endorsement Rainge hasn't agreed in writing, use the ball or its stripes in their own mark, use "Rainge" in a product, app or domain name, or sell products with Rainge marks without a license. - In mockups, show a neutral placeholder ("Partner"), never a real company's logo. - Partnerships, press and merch licensing: Michael@anicca.ai ## 10. Check before you hand back 1. Every mark is an unaltered file from this guide, in the right colorway for its ground, with two ball-widths clear. 2. The signature is the wordmark: the compact cut (or its stitch cut) in small spaces, the ball alone where even that won't fit. No retired mark, and the name never set in capitals as a logo. 3. Yellow appears once, for the ball. 4. Type is Barlow Semi Condensed, Barlow Condensed and the system face, in the listed weights. 5. Copy: "Rainge" with a capital R; no "AI"; "range", not "course"; no player or teacher names; American spelling; no retired line; the sign-off at most once. 6. Nothing implies an endorsement, and no real company's logo stands in for a partner.
