Make every bucket count.

Hit a few. See what's off. Make one thing stick.

Chapter 1, Swing

Practice with purpose.

“I have too many swing thoughts right now.”

Set an intention, then hit.

Pick the club and one thought before the first ball.

  • Club
  • Swing thought
  • Drill

Hit record. Every swing comes back in slow motion.

Rainge cuts each swing into its own slow-motion clip.

Every swing, labelled.

Just what you need to see if it's working.

Chapter 2, Understand

Diagnose the move that’s holding you back.

“What am I doing wrong?”

Frame 49 of 275 · 0.40 s

A real swing from the beta, every frame read by Rainge.

P1Address

Every check is measured from your address lines: butt, hands and head.

Coach’s read Premium

It starts at shaft parallel: your hips move toward the ball, and by impact the strike is on the heel. Next bucket: hips stay back, with the thought Right side crunch.

Swing 17 at impact, with its address behind it in blue: the hips have moved 3.1 in toward the ball.

Against your own address.

Your setup stays behind you in blue.

Swing 28 at impact: its hips 2.1 in toward the ball from the butt line
Best · #28Center contact
Swing 46 at impact: its hips 3.2 in toward the ball from the butt line
Worst · #46Hosel

Your best and worst, side by side.

The same line on both.

Chapter 3, Improve

Get better for good.

“I had it last week. Where did it go?”

Swing health, first thing on Home.

Where your swing is good, and where it’s furthest from good.

One fix, until it sticks.

Your fix, set by set, until it’s on target.

Ask the coach about your swing.

Answers come from your own buckets, with one thought for the next.

The honest answers.

Not a launch monitor, and not a replacement for your pro. A range companion that helps you practice with intent.

What is Rainge?

A range companion for iPhone. Prop your phone behind you and hit: Rainge checks every swing, gives you one thing to work on, and tells you after every set whether it’s working.

Which positions does it check?

The ones that matter most: address, the takeaway, the top, shaft parallel, impact and the finish. Underneath, it reads all ten positions coaches use, so it can say where a fault starts.

What do I need?

An iPhone and something to prop it on, like a small phone tripod. Film from behind, down the line, with the whole swing in frame. Swings you’ve already filmed work too.

Who can see my videos?

Only you. Rainge reads your swings on your iPhone. The coach gets your numbers, never video, unless you let it see up to five stills of your swings. Nothing else leaves your phone unless you share it.

Do I need a coach?

No. It’s built for golfers coaching themselves. If you have a pro, show them the reads.

Is this another app that throws 40 numbers at me?

No. One focus and one thought at a time, in plain words.

Will it work at my range?

Yes: open ranges in daylight and covered bays at night. When a video can’t be read, it tells you why.

Can I film face-on?

Down the line for now. Face-on videos are kept but not graded.

How much does it cost?

Free during the beta. After that, a free version that does the job, and a paid one with extras.

Make your next bucket count.

Rainge is in a small TestFlight beta for iPhone. Leave your email and we'll send you a link when there's room, and the occasional update after that.

The Range Ball

The ball nobody names.

It begins with a sound. A token drops, a machine shudders, and a wire bucket fills with a rattle you will hear for the rest of your life.

Somewhere in that bucket is the first golf ball you ever hit. You don't remember it, and it doesn't remember you. It went sideways, most likely. It may have barely left the ground. But something in you rose with it, and you came back.

It carries no name. Only three stripes, worn thin by ten thousand strangers: the beginner with a borrowed seven-iron, the regular two bays down, the player who will one day stand on a tee in April while the whole world holds its breath. It has been topped, shanked, thinned and skulled. It has been cursed at in every language the game is played in. And every so often it has been struck so purely that the bay next door went quiet. Each evening the caged cart gathers it from the grass. Each morning it is back in the bucket.

It will never be marked on a green. It will never fall into a cup. It will never make a birdie.

And yet every birdie ever made was made here first, on this ball, in the hours no one films. Quietly. A bucket at a time.

We named Rainge after it, and we built it to be what that ball has always been: in every golfer's story, and in no one's highlight reel. Easy to overlook. Impossible to get better without.

Make every bucket count.
